it’s southwest Ohio, so I just figured it’s similar everywhere. Although one of the local places has $2 college nights so that’s pretty lucky I guess.
I mean US I'm posted in Australia
Mitch Hedberg was great
i used to love mitch hedberg. i still do, but i used to too
And some others not seen mentioned,
Norm Macdonald - Hitlers Dog
Louis CK - Everything
Mike Birbliglia - Thank God For Jokes
John Mulaney - Kid Gorgeous
Michael Che - Matters
Michael Che is great.
Also Ramy Youssef, liked his HBO special.
Also, I get that it’s not for everyone, but I did like that Hanna Gadsby special Nanette. I’m sure Patrice would s*** all over it if he were alive but it followed comedy tenets of his that I also feel are important: being comfortable with the audience not laughing every 20 seconds, and having an act where not everyone in the audience is all comfortably laughing at the same time.
Mitch Hedberg, Dave Chappelle, Louis, bill burr, Tom segura, Steven Wright, Chris d’elia, Whitney Cummings, Theo von, John mulaney, michelle wolf, Demetri Martin, Dave attell, Sean Patton, Richard Pryor, Bill Hicks
Anyone who loves standup should try to keep an eye on their local clubs’ schedules. most working comedians still work out material by touring clubs, and some of the greats don’t even do theaters/specials. In the last year I’ve caught doug Stanhope, Bobby lee, ari shaffir, and Jessica kirson and spent maybe $100 total. Every show had me crying too
Saw Joe Machi, KevOnStage and Andrew Schulz before corona hit
two of goats of the next generation
Am I the only one that can't get into Mulaney? His pompous style don't work for me
I love his writing but his stand-up is torture
I wish he would've stuck with his sitcom
All of Chappelle's sets tbh
!https://youtu.be/ZGRIXvhTh0wf***in classic.
prefer old or new chappelle?
f***in classic.
prefer old or new chappelle?
Old, but I feel like his cadence and confidence is still there just his personal life is a bit more included in his material (which I don't mind at all)

Meant these 3
But Theo von too
Theo Von is hilarious to me, not so much his standup but just his general demeanor. Lowkey a comedic genius.

The average person will never understand how hard this is

He said he used to be neighbours with David Duke and work out with him all the time without knowing what he did
