So Star Fox 64 was basically Star Fox SNES expanded. All the things that they wanted to do with Star Fox SNES but couldn't due to tech limitations ended up going into Star Fox 64 with a few more arrangements.

I still enjoy Star Fox SNES because I grew up with it, and still think it's worth playing. But if I'm ever recommending Star Fox, I'm telling people to play 64 because it's the definitive version of the game.

It was a free tower defense styled pack in game for first print editions of Star Fox Zero. After that it was made an eShop exclusive for the Wii U that you had to pay for. Hence the terrible sales lmao
