the prequels managed to stay epic and operatic. i think last jedi is pretty ass but even that did a great job of making things feel grandiose in a lot of scenes.
now everything feels small scale and middy breh

ANTII’ve been hopeful for this show since it was announced despite my many many problems with the Filoni-verse but the more I see from it the more disappointed I am.
I get it’s cool for Filoni to see Ahsoka brought to life but all of these characters look so much worse compared to their animated counterparts.
Sabine looks like bad cosplay.
Hera looks… meh.
Thrawn doesn’t look nearly as menacing.
Ezra just looks like some guy off the street.
Rosario Dawson admittedly looks very good in the role but there’s no way they’re going to be able to capture even half of what made Ahsoka so fun to watch in CW/Rebels.
I hope Thrawn delivers bc the appearance just looks like blue Elon to me

Aug 20, 2023Clip isn’t horrible but the fight choreography continues to disappoint man. You’d think they would take notes from John Wick, Mission Impossible, etc most modern day action movies of that ilk. Hell Disney themselves had it with Winter Soldier. The fight choreography in that was immaculate.
