For me personally I loved all the Anakin stuff. Growing up on the prequels it was fantastic to see especially live action. The amount of hate 1-3 got is insane lol I mean sure they’re no 10/10 best movies ever but c’mon now.

Especially Hayden getting trashed on his performance back then. I’m glad times changed and perspective shifted (especially with the dumpster fire of 7-9). Plus the kids that watched 1-3 around/in their 20’s now can talk about how they loved those movies.

the prequels aren't perfect but they have a clear vision

    amazing world building

    someones vision on a screen

the sequels have no vision or purpose other than to try and please star wars fans with 7 & 9 and subvert their expectations with 8

instead of you know doing something new and original

    the sequels are so meta

obsessed with the legacy of star wars instead of trying anything new

this show was just middle of the road

the finale was very anticlimactic. there is no sense of dread or thrill anywhere to be found.

i don't see the tactical genius in this version of Thrawn. he made a bunch of dumbass decisions and constantly relied on the witches. there's nothing interesting about him so far and i don't really buy him as this big villain yet.

the lightsaber duels with the troopers are some of the worst i've seen in a while. it legit looks like a fanfilm in terms of how its shot and choreographed.

Ezra being all bubbly doesn't make much sense to me either. this is a guy who got zapped to another fricking galaxy and stayed their in fear for 10 years - he should be crippled with PTSD yet there's not a hint of that in his character.

overall the series had its highs but towards the end it lost me. i'm not sold on Dave Felloni being this great saviour of Star Wars. his writing is still cartoon-level and needs a LOT of work.

I think Dave made good story ideas and understands the universe perfectly but yeah he could have had some help writing the dialogue and the direction also is lacking in places

Dave actually has a lot of the same problems George had with Star Wars, he gets lost in the sauce

    he's a great ideas guy

also yeah some of the scenes looked fan film level sadly and Dave did a way better job with the volume than Obi-Wan but still not movie level

Comparing this with Obi Wan is like comparing healthy person s*** to diarrhoea. It's still all s*** at the end of the day.

Now that I think about it my opinion on this show has only soured over time.
