I hope nightsister Merrin is a big character in this one too she was my fav character from the first
Saw the commercial. Wasn't expecting a cyberpunk themed level
That planet is in a bunch of the films and games though?
it was just in Mandalorin s3 too
It looks incredible in this one however

Never attempted to watch Star Wars 👀
Enjoyed the first one and this one looks so much better. Can’t wait. Reviews coming in great too.
Pre-loaded and waiting to go. Crazy we actually getting the follow up to JFO. Time flies.
Also - saw some people complaining about the patch the people with physicals have to do download.
Haven’t Day 1 patches been a normal thing for like almost a decade now?
hope theres no crazy puzzles in this man
One of the worst things about JFO was the map system and no quick travel. God damn.
Luckily they improved on that.
18gb of VRAM for 1440p and CPU limited on a Ryzen 5900X what a mess
i might be waiting a few weeks

i’m waiting to buy until this is fixed
I’ll give it a try, it seems they’re really generous with this IP though
First one had 81/100 on meta and it’s a 5/10 game
This one has 86/100 on meta so I’m expecting a 6 or 7 but hopefully I’m surprised
Game critics are too generous in general. Far Cry 5 is sitting at about 80 on Metacritic, I would've given it a 3 or 4 if I were a reviewer. RDR2 was getting 10s and has 97 on Metacritic when it has some pretty major flaws. Not sure how broken the next gen and PC versions of Cyberpunk was, but even that was bagging some 7-9s
I don't trust critics. Not sure if it's because they're scared of giving low scores and not having early access to future games from that publisher, but they're far too lenient. The reception is why I bit the bullet on FC5 and Jedi Fallen Order. Felt instant disappointment and regret when I played those games

same
the patches yesterday fixed most issues on consoles and there is another patch tomorrow but definitely not buying it on PC until this is clearly fixed, these half backed PC games for $70 are such bs
I'm tempted to get the PS5 versions but idk... I'd rather play on PC once it's patched but it running this awful doesn't give much hope it will be in a working state soon, hopefully I'm wrong tho
Fallen Order had stuttering loading new areas especially on launch but this seems way worse

Fallen Order still has some stutter issues
Fallen Order still has some stutter issues
yeah same issue it had at launch, it's just a lot less worse now
but this CPU/VRAM optimization issue seems way worse than issues loading new areas lol
Fallen Order never dropped frames bad during battles or cut scenes for me
Performance for both Console and PC is AWFUL
The EA way
Even playing FIFA offline stutters sometimes

EA actually use to have better performance than other studios like Ubisoft especially on PC games not shocking that has also gone to s*** though like everything at EA

I thought it was just a Frostbite thing, but these games are on Unreal Engine 4
I thought it was just a Frostbite thing, but these games are on Unreal Engine 4
yeah people have blamed Frostbite in the past
Frostbite definitely isn't the best engine for many styles of games but it runs great in certain games, especially older games
I get 120fps at 4k in many DICE games on my 3080
can't really blame the engine when almost every game is half backed now
this game doesn't look much better than the old game tho honestly
I think part of the issue with PC games now is the new consoles are using direct access to SDD storage which won't work on PC till UE5, so instead they're just flooding the VRAM
besides that it seems like everyone wants to rush out games sooner and sooner every year, wish they'd just delay stuff till it was in working order
I find myself waiting to buy games more and more, Star Wars is a tough one though one of the only games I'd want to play on launch day lol

The last games I bought at launch were RDR2, FIFA 19 and Spiderman and that was mainly because of Black Friday deals. I'm still on PS4 with a backlog big enough to last me until PS6 at the rate I play games. It's really not a necessity to buy games at launch imo
Probably won't ever buy this game, Fallen Order was so disappointing. I wanted a Star Wars experience but the movement and combat in that game wasn't it at all. Platinum could probably make a good Star Wars game, a Jedi that plays like 2B would be amazing

I liked Fallen Order but I do wish we had more types of Star Wars games
we've gotten only 3 full games since Disney took over 11 years ago, insane when you think about how many Star Wars games use to be made
yeah I buy a game on launch day every once in a while and it's usually a Star Wars game lol, yeah there are always other games to play that will run a lot better that have been out
