i mean at this point unless it's Larian making it to me its gonna be a disappointment. They gotta not only live up to the original KOTOR, but now they gotta compete with the storytelling, writing, and companions of BG3 as a modern example of the same formula.

KOTOR remake just needs to be faithful, that’s it, that’s the bar. The story is already 10/10. And I guess more modern 3rd person combat, but maybe they’ll go the old school route idk I’m ok with either tbh.

I see what you're saying, but I also think they should remain faithful while also expanding on the companion dialogues at the very least. They could also add more sidequests and flesh out the individual areas/planets while keeping the main story the same. I think if they don't do that it won't be received as well and even if it's a complete remake/reboot, without good changes people will just call it a remaster.
