Disney thought they could Marvelfy star wars film and television, with a program wherein an executive moves around projects like pieces on a chessboard. What I'm kinda starting to think is that Star Wars only ever really worked under the creative dictatorship of Lucas (sans video games and other minor projects). Even then, those prequel movies were a mixed bag- it only approached workability under the careful hand of Lucas.

If they want Star Wars to work, I think Disney should find someone to fill the creative dictatorship Lucas role, which doesn't sound like an easy task. I don't think disney star wars is irredeemable- mando started strong and Andor is great, despite being incredibly bleak. They just need to approach it with a new direction, as though their last decade of doing things effectively didn't happen.

Both Boba and Obi Wan could've worked, needed more time in the oven. Obi Wan never should've been a mini-series to begin with.

Great show. Coming from someone who is a staunch advocate of them moving on from the Galactic Empire era, it’s their best show by far.

They really wrote themselves into a hole with this First Order stuff. I wish they’d just outright retcon it.
