I’m sorry Saturday. I always lash out at the ones I love most.
Nah, I'm just f***ing with you. I hate Star Wars.

You lied? On KTT2? WTAF, man…
I liked this quite a bit, but it’s still weird that a TV spinoff is the return of Star Wars to theaters. That being said, I think they did a fine job of increasing the scope of the action sequences to make it worth seeing in IMAX. I like it, it’s fine and it’s entertaining. But not much more beyond that for this one. I could see where if this was a season they would have started and ended episodes. Not that it was a filmed season of TV smushed into a movie, rather 8 scripts were made into a 2 hour film. It’s not even really messy because of that, it works, but I can tell.
Action was good, Grogu is cute, everything else is, well Star Wars.
3/5
Of course this f\*\*\*er Filoni found a way to get himself into the movie TWICE

is it easy to watch for someone who’s not caught up on star wars at all?

Oh yeah like this is a pretty standalone story
So long as you know the basic concept of The Mandalorian and you know who Grogu is you’re good.
Really encouraging stuff from the director of this movie
Nvm streets saying Passenger some mid too, cancelling my bday this year
Happy birthday they dropping bullshit for you . At least you have I love boosters
Oh yeah and why tf did Ludwig (who killed it here btw) decide to put 808s and trap snares in a Star Wars movie

Shakari is the track you’re looking for lmao

Sounds a bit dramatic
Also Baby Yoda love and Rogue One slander in the same paragraph
The most playing with action figures movie ever made. Ludwig did his thing but other than that…yeah

Tbh emotions were running kinda high out of the theater so it does sound overly dramatic, but I stand by the overall sentiment.
And yeah Rogue One is not good.
It's a pretty fun low stakes action-adventure movie.
Probably the least 'important' Star Wars movie but definitely one of the more enjoyable ones.
I got this over Episode 7,9 and Solo in the modern era
The Mandalorian is a very likeable protagonist (one of the better ones of this franchise) and Grogu isn't just a trinket to be rescued again and again, he actually holds the fort pretty well.
You can tell it's a TV season converted into a movie but it works for the most part and didn't look cheap at all.
The CGI work wasn't half bad and I loved the puppet work on Baby Yoda and those little creatures, don't get to see it in blockbusters.
If you watch 6 movies at the theatre in a year, you're better off waiting for something else but if you watch movies regularly like me then it's not a bad way to spend time at the theatres.
I can see Star Wars stans hating on it who revere the franchise too much but I think casual fans will like it.
You don't need to watch the show at all to watch the movie, there aren't even many recurring side characters in the movie from the show.
You can watch the show as a prequel after watching this.
I'd give it a 7.5/10

Star Wars was never that great but just enjoyable
And Mando fits right into that. It's fun
