In Texas if you are in possession of what could be classified as a controlled substance in penalty grade 2, such as a vape pen or edible the possible punishment ranges are as follows:

Less than a gram, is a State Jail Felony – 180 days to 2 years in State Jail and up to a $10,000.00 fine.

1 gram but less than 4 grams, is a Third-Degree Felony – 2-10 years in Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and up to a $10,000.00 fine.

Yes just because the PR is so bad that you're pretty much guaranteed to lose the next election if u leave her in Russia

Conservative mfs was anti-Russian everything a few weeks ago and now all of a sudden they have an unwavering respect for the sanctity of Russian d*** laws.

S*** is disgusting tbh and it’s only cause she’s a gay black woman smh.

because it gave people other ideas

One interesting thing I’ve been reading is that due to her consistency of playing there in the WNBA offseason and how she’s obviously a superstar in the women’s basketball world, there’s a decent chance that she was able to move how she pleased until it became convenient for Russia to imprison her

“1 year and a fine is more than sufficient” man you truly believe she deserves a year of jail time?

1 year for trying to smuggle d**** into a foreign country is light work man

Y'all really just want them to let her go as if she wasn't in the wrong at all

I smoke weed too but I'm not risking anything to put myself or my job in jeopardy

I imagine Russian prison is terrible but even the Russian gulags were safer and had shorter sentences the US prison system now.

here we go with the biden administration “condemning” things wtf is that gonna do. not saying start a war but do something man what happened to those prisoner exchange negotiations? they didn’t like russias counter offer so just said f*** it?

I mean what was he supposed to do? free a mass murderer for a wnba player that niggas are pretending to be a fan of online? people didn't even know who she was until she caught a case. obviously her getting 9 years is not to punish Brittney Griner herself, its to make an example out of a US citizen. and Joe Biden is far from the only one to blame, he has a whole cabinet, he moves with a core of at least 15 advisors for every foreign policy decision and this is not the time to create beef with Russia for something that politically is not worth it.

I just saw this a bit ago.
They really threw the “drug trafficking” charge and 9 years
