Why is there no thread for stardew? game is a mf classic.

honestly now is the best time to get into it, the endgame has been expanded greatly, a huge amount of quality of life features have been added, and for a new player there’s like at least 200 hours of content.

I almost wonder if it seems overwhelming now to someone who hasn't played on day 1

Actually playing it the first time isnt overwhelming at all, it does a great job of getting you set up to enjoy it (I'd just bookmark the wiki at the start lol) but these days it's like 4x as massive, at least, and there's an insane amount of stuff to do now lol

I've been eyeing this game for a while. I need to go ahead and buy it lol

What new things have been added? I stopped playing years ago. But it's still fantastic.

In 2019, we got 1.4, mostly quality of life stuff and a new farm for multiplayer

1.5 added a huge new island with tons to explore and unlock, that was in late 2020 for pc then consoles in 2021

then 2024 we got 1.6 which expanded the late game with a boatload of s***, there’s an image in OP that highlights a few things in that update

They added ginger island. Many consider giving away anything on this is a spoiler even just giving the name - it adds a huge amount of content and is like the first phase of "post game"

New dialogue, I think some new characters?

Multiple new farms, I'm guessing you know of coop and the special 4 corner farm for it but there's more like the high difficulty beach farm

Many new items and recipes like the jellies or whatever they're called

This is all I got off the top of my head but I know I'm missing plenty lol

My wife got me the main 4xLP set of the vinyl records for Xmas. Legit insanely good packaging, BEAUTIFUL custom vinyl use, had no idea how pristine it'd look

I gotta get the follow up 2xLP for the updates. I want that board game and the physical guide book so bad too lol

Picked this up again after like 7 years lol.

15 hours in. I'm way better this time around.
I honestly don't like farming that much, mining and fishing is just soooo much better.
