But they cant have the cake and eat it too. You cant just pick and choose what pubs can review your game. I mean they can, because the relationship pubs-journalists heavily weights in the publisher's favor (and is what leads to the sorry state game journalism is in) but that is simply just sad. There's not even an understandable reason lol

Literally everyone does . No game has ever given every review source a two week ahead code . Some people are left out for a variety of internal reasons and have to wait until launch . Bethesda at least gave out a wider range of codes then im used to seeing so early

I agree, which is why i said that they can. But also, It hasnt been done to this degree with monumental releases, definitely not for outlets like eurogamer and Edge. This isnt the end of the world of course, but its an observation on how s***ty games journalism is. Also id like to read the Edge review but i'll have to wait longer now
