So what exactly is the purpose of building a base
I have to read people talk about Michael Jordan everyday like their biggest exposure to him wasn't Space Jam. @ShintaroKago
So what exactly is the purpose of building a base
i think you can generate materials and sleep
i wish we could build our own city just thought of that
Idk, would you see the trailer or read a review? Would you still see the memes? Would people you know still tell you about it? Yes. I read Sidney Lumet's book and hadn't seen the majority of the movies he talked about making. Still a great book.
There's a huge market for people just watching other people game. Even before Twitch you would go watch your neighbor game. Hell, there are games where you don't even really game. It's just a movie with buttons. People watch sports and don't play. You don't even see every game
yes I have watched friends play games and discussed it with them or talked about elements of the game. But there is something inherently different about wishing any piece of art was a trainwreck for your entertainment when people worked on that and their livelihoods partially depend on it. I say this as someone working on a game. The amount of negativity that swirls from fanbases and the ridiculousness like "we wanted to see hiroshima destruction" is confounding. Its baffling . It happens every time a piece of art drops now.
"how is oppenehimer compared to _ "
"how is blank compared to _"
rather than saying what something made you feel or taking in what it is. It becomes so much about conjecture, personal expectations and not even wording out grievances in actual sentences so much as an obsession with aggregate review scores or taking pride in people not enjoying something because they know it will lead to clicks.
If IGN review had no number many people couldn't even tell me again the reviewers name or a word they said. But its simply "Ign 7". Thats it and that means more to people than actually playing the game or watching longer form discussions about it
Thats weird

Games being trainwrecks clearly isn't hurting the industry. In the words of Donald Trump, you guys still keep drinking that garbage
I have to read people talk about Michael Jordan everyday like their biggest exposure to him wasn't Space Jam. @ShintaroKago
yeah but most of them aren't like MJ sucks I saw him in space jam. There isn't that much negativity from uneducated people on a topic and if there is they are called out on it

This game isn't a trainwreck
If this game was an actual trainwreck it would cost people jobs
Cd Project Red had massive layoffs due to Cyberpunk
The saints row flop lead to volition shutting down
This game isn't a trainwreck
And you're still miserable rn! Cheer up Harold. You won. Haters lost. Don't give them your energy.

I am not miserable I am all for you being apart of discussion but at least know what you are talking about. There is no win and loss . We enjoy a game. The idea that there are sides and it is this divisive is what I am saying is the problem .....
i never understand people who OD on hate. wonder how many people who are online flaming the game have not even played it, lol.
it seems like it is more and more the case where people base their opinion solely on streamers or gamer personalities. very interesting

Idk man, it was either this thread, one about John Lennon beating women, or Kim Petras being covered in cum. At least you guys are discussing art. Happy for you
Game gets better every hour
I don’t understand how anyone could call this a 7/10 but I guess different strokes for different folks

example Red Dead Redemption 2 I have started and it doesn't grip me. I played outside of the hype cycle. Played for hours but gameplay loop and story is only so gripping to me. I respect the craft that went into it but its not for me. Last of Us 2 eventually I played but i knew story spoilers I enjoyed parts of it but not all of it hit for me and that is okay. I was wrong for prejudging last of us 2 in many ways but partly for holding memories to 1 not even for the gameplay but on if its story needed to be continued. They did something beautiful with it even if the story went everywhere and some plot holes for me it was a fun time.
Any time some game is hyped about or talked about as greatest game of all time the discussion around it is terrible because it clicks for some and doesn't for others. But those that it doesn't click for go above and beyond to be vocal about it and how "I was right " and "yep just as expected" . Because they go into it with such a negative attitude or pre conceived notions vs realistic expectations and knowing it will have cons like any piece of art

New Game Plus without spoiling fully invigorated you to play more. You making major choices that have consequences?
y’all need to all just block Rockman. not worth discussing anything with that brick wall

fair
How you enjoying it or not enjoying it what have you recently been up to in the galaxy
I want to invest more in stealth to see how stealth play is or if there are ever stealth kills. Blasting is fun but would love to go more MGS
Wish you could shoot out lights. Knock people out. Disable lights. Hack things or a few more slight elements but I guess that gets more cyberpunk watchdoggy
at first, i wish the systems were a little more intuitive because it can make the game a bit hard to get into / immerse in. the first dozen hours i was questioning everything i was doing like "am i wasting time?" "is not looting this really bad?" "is selling this a mistake?" "am i f***ing up skill points??" "i do not understand the menu."
but now that i am getting more comfortable with it all i think the game is incredible. i still have my gripes on the planets not really feeling all that worth exploring and creating outpost, etc. but i have a feeling that will change over time. like maybe they made it so that part feels worthless early on so you do not focus on it until later? but still gives you agency to do it if that is something you really enjoy doing in an RPG.
i love that i am not even close to fully understanding / mastering ANY of the systems yet. like i am getting decent at non-space combat and dialogue. but a lot to learn still. this is a good thing in a game, imo

i joined up with the rangers and have been doing their missions. had to find this Maya Cruz lady last mission, she had a whole station armed to the teeth with robots and turrets i had to fight through
ridiculous
i’m loving it overall, think I’m lvl 15

I don't know about this one chief, are you enjoying this game? Cause I don't see how you can not enjoy that but enjoy this slow pace assuming if that is your issue of course not to go off topic thats my baby

This is everything I feel worded well . I think outpost shops and homes are purposely shown to be player early but really expensive so they have things to work towards . Its a game where you slowly learn what’s possible or best way to do something

Nah you good. I like space infinitely more than western or fantasy which are often more white focused narratives
More because if I can’t exist in some worlds they are less interesting to me lol . Also even if he was black it’s just only so gripping it I loved westerns or fantasy red dead or bsldurs I would rush to
