I love all the 3D Elder Scrolls and Fallouts. this feels more like Mass Effect.

I doesn't to me tbh, it pretty much feels like Fallout in space except maybe not as dark

Cant compare elder scrolls fantasy to this, although I agree i would prefer limited planets with more dense cities and actual free roam, and not flying to an outpost over this

Oblivion is def the better game so far, but that’s not saying much lol Oblivion is a GOAT

Density? Usually you can't run in any direction for 60 seconds without finding something interesting or walking into the middle of shootout or something but there's nothing going on out here. I'm already seeing the same buildings over and over instead of the usual consistently fresh locations Bethesda has gotten me used to.

aight no, you’re complaining way too early lmfao. just play the damn game elric

you also seem to be looking at Bethesda’s previous games through rose colored lenses

Mass effect is more cinematic and has a lot more cutscenes, longer conversations, etc. this feels more like Fallout in space for sure. Silent protag is giving fo3 vibes especially. The companion system is more like fallout than mass effect too.

Gamers have become such a miserable community on all social media platforms, they just complain about every tiny aspect of every little thing

Like when the main menu leaked and people complained about that, bro who cares

Games used to be alot more brave since the industry was nieche thats why you constantly got high quality weirdo games. Nobody knew what a successful game had to look like. This lead to games with lots of garbage unexplained systems and complications that the players just had to accept.

The games are much more finetuned in their systems (altho still buggy but thats a different discussion). Guide your hand more and have a much better presentation. But the bravery of making something totally different is missing now.

I just don’t get the hate

Flying through space instead of just teleporting would really add that much to the game for y’all?

Although I agree some of the outposts and mines being recycled is kinda lame. Doesn’t kill the game tho

so funny to me cuz having to fly through the entirety of space every time i need to go to a new planet/solar system would definitely make this game unplayable for me and a lot of other people lol

I played it on pc minivan and my pc blue screened 5 times. Ran like s***. And had way more bugs. And that was on a 2070

i played on a 2070 had 0 crashes running at over 60fps and the worst bug i had was my car spawning upside down once

i could easily sit here and say the game was totally fine if i hadnt seen the console experience too

Very much this I wish some fights and arenas for shooting were more varied or took in the planets attributes more affecting the AI and player outside of gravity but not game ending

As a fan of other Bethesda games I was actually hyped to find out you could teleport when being in houses and structures

I dont want to have to fly through the entirety of space but to be able to liftoff yourself, fly through the atmosphere and chart your course before you hit light speed would be incredible

yea kinda its a game based around space and having a space ship but space is mostly just menus and i dont get to play a game

it removes the fun of walking from one place to another and discovering cool s*** that you would get in fallout and elder scrolls and replaces it with nothing

a lot of people overlook the cyberpunk situation because they played on pc where it was pretty much fine and no worse than any bethesda game

hate to side with kr0nic over you.

i feel like the new star wars games do space travel well while it technically/mechanically basically being a loading screen

    • getting on the ship

    • picking the planet you wanna go to

    • the space ship 'going up into space, flying off' while you are still in control (obviously the whole planet isn't being rendered as you take off & fly above it but you see it from the cockpit window and it works)

    • you have a set amount of time where your ship has to fly itself to the planet (its like 50 seconds in star wars, could be longer in starfield)

    • you can walk around and do anything on the ship while its 'flying'

    • you have to actually sit in the commander seat for the cut scene of landing to play / for the planet to begin loading

but then again bethesda can't do stores without loading screens so maybe this would be too technically demanding with how they develop their worlds

but im siding with kronic too

youll find so many people who had a near perfect experience on pc and ignore the s***ty time people on console and i guess some times on pc had to now say the game was great when it launched when it wasnt

I see both sides if someone wanted to walk their ship and have it better hide the loading screen through someone piloting their ship while its loading or doing a basic task I get it.

I was in a gunfight and a sandstorm spawned so they exist on some planets
