Fallout 4 definitely has the best gameplay in any Bethesda game & its DLC potentially had some of their best writing

Base game yeah, i said dlcs.

Far Harbor more intricate with so many choices than almost anything.

And Nuka Cola while not as in-depth as FH, still had a lot going for it.

Do not pre order this game. Their last 2 games were fallout 4 and fallout 76. Wait on it cause it could be another disaster!

fallout 4 has an 87 on metacritic lol, it was disappointing personally but it was far from a disaster.

the combat was improved but they f***ed up the dialogue systems, they could easily learn from that mistake and make starfield succeed at both combat and dialogue, making it a top-tier rpg on the level of fallout 3 or skyrim

fallout 76 was a disaster but it was made by a different team and it’s an online game so it doesn’t compare to their single player story games

neither of those games have good writing. Bethesda have some of the worst writers in the entire industry and that says a lot considering the standard of writing in gaming is already quite low.

fallout 3 was universally praised as one of the best games of the year and it’s a story driven rpg where 70% of the time you’re dealing with characters, dialogue trees, and story missions all of which were written by Bethesda
