somebody on Xbox or pc gets game pass to try starfield, they enjoy gamepass and start regularly subscribing, maybe next year a starfield expansion gets added to game pass so they re-up, they try other gamepass games and get used to the convenience and eventually they have a lifetime member

Personally I prefer owning my games and amassing a collection that isn’t tied to a sub, but im probably not representative of the average joe

I do most of my gaming on PlayStation and I’m an elder scrolls/fallout stan so I’m bummed about the move but it makes sense for sure.

There are over a billion people who game on PC, the amount of people they could bring to gamepass in the decades to come is insanely high. Xbox might be reduced to a dongle packaged with a controller one day, gamepass will outlive the console era entirely most likely.
