Because it hasnt added a whole new planet and area. Its just a different type of DLC. Free Lanes itself is massive
didn't know that!
I also thought it was mid. Repetitive areas, barebone missions, dry characters. But you should still try it yourself if you’re actually interested in the game
I’m still looking forward to it
I’ve enjoyed games before that most would consider mid. the last dragon age don’t judge me
Eh critic reviews are very good. I think its a good game and no other game quite scratches that itch
Yeah see platform I trust like kinda funny have praised the f*** out of it which made me want to play it

It’s still a fun game imo, just to clarify I don’t think it’s mid but the story definitely is a step down in quality for them.
I would recommend outer worlds 2 over this though.
Starfield felt like a 7/10 after my first playthrough, still looking forward to hopping back in, the free lanes update trailer impressed me for sure, maybe it’s fun enough to raise my score but I doubt it

The faction quests are really good though, especially the UC Vanguard. Equal with there best ever questlines imo.
Ive never actually played the main story. I dont think Outerworlds is all that, decent game though.
Interested to see how you like the new update

Outer worlds 2 is basically what starfield should’ve been
An engaging story with interesting factions and worldbuilding, choices that matter, actual interesting rpg mechanics like the flaw system. Not overly ambitious.
The first outer worlds was mid though, I’m glad they turned the series around. Maybe starfield 2 will make the same changes for the better.
I agree that outer worlds 2 was great. Waiting on the dlc for that.
I really enjoy this game though. The first dlc wasn’t really my type because I dont really care for the religious faction stuff but so far the new one is good. The update is great too

Graphics way better than expected, swear I remember hearing the faces in this game were bad. They all look good to me tho

Need a premium edition steam key for like $25. I can’t believe it’s still selling basically for full price, Bethesda games usually drop quickly
I bought the premium upgrade when it launched but never the game itself. Gamepass ultimate keys are $15-20 now, it’s not worth paying that to not even own the game
