Most people dont want to give out their phone number (thats why they resort to those fake number ad things that celebs push) & idk who told you email is dead

sms is just a choice, we also drop our full newsletters in our discord

sms has 90%+ open rate, only sub if you like the content, we don't collect an ounce of data and the second someone texts stop we lose their number

again, sms is just for people who want shortened versions of the newsletter sent to their phone, some of the stuff we send out is time sensitive (beta links, merch, etc)

just trying to share the cool stuff we find, not push people dead links for Spotify listens

But i was just answering that users presumption that its something new (which is isnt), why it isnt that popular or as mainstream & how email js far from dead.

Yes tho i think its a good option regardless, especiqlly for smaller creators & businesses. Always want as much contact options as possible, but leave the options up to the customers choice.

definitely not new, superphone, community, pretty much the main players, directs.chat is a new one thats pretty cool too

its really less the services that are the issue and more artists not realizing the time commitment until its too late (being active in beginning and then 4-6 months after dropping off) not that much these companies can do if the talent isn't putting in the effort

not really, we always tell people you can just join our discord first and all of our newsletters are in there.

people who want the updates right away will give phone numbers, but you can still access without

as I said before, we dont collect any data and if I wanted to phish for phone numbers I wouldn't be trying to build organically
