    My thoughts on season 1:

It was great. I was mixed on episodes at first being harsh, but realized I was being harsh. I still feel like some of my complaints were valid and I have reason to say the writing is still sloppy

The season finale was cool, but Tommy’s return felt so forced. It didn’t even really seem like Tommy

    • they alluded to Monet knowing who Ghost was. The fact she’s moving weight and has no clue about Tommy or Ghost just doesn’t make sense to me

    • Where is 2-bit? He didn’t try to collect his money once.

    • Paz and Tasha talked like they had a plan. Nothing came of it at all

-Professor Reynolds character basically 180d. If we go based on how jealous and petty his character is, he would have turned Tariq in right away. Him pulling the whole move with not stereotyping the black students and protecting Tariq was off. It made no sense for him to get all buddy buddy with Tariq imo even for the sake of his book.

The whole scene at the end with Tommy and Monet annoys me too. They basically made it look like Tommy wasn’t the crazy ass character we knew and loved. Something about it just bugged me but that’s probably me nit picking

About the last scene, I get what you're saying.

They made it look like he punked really. He's the most popular character left in the show and I get bringing him back, but he ended up coming back and leaving having been spared his life

They should have left it as a cliffhanger type thing after the car got blown up- so Tariq never calls him, and actually set him up...

Or just have him kill Tasha given her character has run its course now

forensics teams use teeth or teeth x rays to identify bodies sometimes when they’re unrecognizable. That’s why on the phone tommy says “ I didn’t pull out my molars for nothing” his teeth would be enough evidence of his death thus closing the case

When it's unrecognisable yeah, but there was literally no body in the car at all for this

    It's lazy writing

    LOL Grand opening, grand closing

  • This spinoff is waaaaaay better than the last couple seasons of og power. It exceeded my expectations by a s*** ton. I’m not all the way done with the finale but I f*** with Tariq so much now. I love how they made him the most hated then kinda made him the favorite. Hope I didn’t jinx the rest of the episode tho lol.

I liked the whole season tbh. For them to somehow transform Tariq into a likable character is a miracle. Excited to see where they go from here

  • Oh yeah next season go be bussin.

When Monet said “don’t need no balls b****” to Tommy

It’s obvious they don’t want to do one. Ain’t no reason why cain’s random girl had one over Effie and tyriq for example

    First 2 seasons are great.

Think it kinda drops off in quality from like the middle of the 3rd- gets kinda cheesy/repetitive

They probably wanna keep that aura of innocence around them and s*** even Riq to an extent. With all the characters now being legal age in the eyes of the law little s*** like that can go a long way to maintain the dynamics youth present in the show. I just literally came up with all that in my head but it makes sense

Man I want Tommy’s book next I feel like I’m the only one who’s the least hype about Raising Kanan. Then again I was in the super minority about being hyped for Riq’s solo show so we’ll see. I’m just ready for the story to continue to progress instead of going back in time a couple decades. But if they seamlessly tie in the Tejadas and Ghost’s orgs in Raising Kanan then they onto something

Think it’s gonna go Ghost > Raising Kanan > Ghost S2 > Influence > Force. Think the Saxe dynamic has to be fleshed out more before they can go into Tate’s show because dude from the Democratic Party definitely gonna play a big role in that show. At the end of S1 of Force, Tommy officially gives Riq the Ghost title

In terms of Jabari and Tariq, although they didn't show it in the best way, I think they he realised it was Zeke that was f***ing that professor so he was no longer jealous of Tariq but he still needed him to finish that book (which I assume he would've made a lot of money from) and thats why he kinda wanted to protect him

He went out so sad tho
