Love it! Such a solid, versatile daily.

I actually really like the wimbeldon, and almost pulled the trigger on that reference

Im on the list for it, hoping they get one in soon

The 41mm DJ is the perfect daily in my opinion, its dressy enough to wear in a corporate setting but you can also dress it down just as easily

Cant wait to get my hands on one. Also gonna pick up a rubber strap for the summer

This is what a lot of people dont understand about watches

The majority of high end watches (rolex, ap, patek, etc) will either hold their value for decades, or even increase in value depending on the configuration

A family member of mine bought the Hulk Submariner back on release for 10k and a few years later that piece is worth 20k+

This is true with very specific models. The rule of thumb is stainless steel sport models hold their value the most. The less complicated the movement as well.

Just a little more context the current holy trinity of watch brands are AP, Patek and Vacheron.

There’s three modern independent brands which are about to take over the entire watch market and become the new trinity.

FP journe is basically the new patek
    MB&F is the new AP
    Moser is the new Vacheron
Their watches are insane and high sought after.

If anyone has any questions about watches hit me up. I’m like an encyclopaedia for references, movements, brands and prices. I’ve been into watch since a kid my dad always had a nice rotation growing up. Now I’m building my collection.

That’s fair. I think once you start researching it or holding a few different types of rare watches you will fall in love.

The watch market is similar to the rare sneaker market.

also if anyone wants something that looks and feels like a Rolex but Is cheaper.. look into Tudor watches

They use the same body as Rolex or some s*** like that and that’s why they look like they are “copying” Rolex designs.

Tudor is owned by Rolex. They share a similar heritage and designers. Best brand in terms of value. Rolex also experiments more with Tudor. Check out the new BB58 watch made entirely out of silver that doesn’t age.

You can get AMAZING watches for under 1k, and even way way less. Rolex are overpriced af, not even the most appealing option in that price range (to me personally)

Rolex is the iPhone of the watch world. They’re not the best watch by far but a decent watch. It’s basically an entry level watch when you compare them to haute horology

as of right now the coolest thing about watches is the craftsmenship and s***

but part of watches is style and look and i just see em and be like "i need me that, i can style that hoe out" like i do with other accessories/jewelry.

at some point it'll probably happen

100%. The best investment watches are almost always stainless. The patek 5711 is the best example imo

Rolex is the best starter if you truly love watches. I love mine but I plan on getting a royal oak within the next few years

I just sold my 1502. 5711 coming soon hopefully. Got a few dealer friends trying to source me one at cost or close to cost.

I’m literally rocking the clear Apple Watch and Casio oak until I get the 5711 🤷🏽‍♂️ hodinkee.com/articles/gshock-clear-casioak-i-bought-for-summer

Depends what your looking for. If you can afford it get a vintage Rolex that can range from 4500 to millions. But a vintage day date on a leather strap is a god starting point. Check out fog city vintage website. I’ve bought a few past watches here. A collected man is another great dealer/website

If u want a brand new watch check out these brands Nomos, Omega, Tudor, Oris and Seiko.

If want something cheap but looks nice the new citizen are fun, look nice and have a mechanical movement. watchesbysjx.com/2021/04/citizen-8-automatic.html
