Been really really getting into watches gradually the past couple of years. As a sneaker head, I have found watch discussions to be a more enjoyable culture and history to learn about. Brand histories and distinct styles / strong points has been great to learn about. So many great watches out there at so many different price points. It’s a cool journey. Rn I have mainly dress watches and I think next I’ll go more towards a sporty diver next.
I like the sneakerhead comparison, i grew up a major sneakerhead and discovered watches as I got older. Similar hobby but watches have endless options and you can wear them anywhere for any occasion
Need Credor
Top kinda reminded me of this Italian watchmaker called Zannetti, they make really cool handpainted watches at reasonable prices

i grew up heavy in watches and heavy in sneakers. there’s a lot of snobbery on both sides but the watch crowd is mainly so more respectful but it’s taken a slide a little bit past few years. my advice is stick to what you like and don’t fall into the “investment” hype

Quite a lot of options for good value.
Orient Kamasu/Kanno on lower end. Tissot is a good option. PRX or seastar.
Junghans Max Bill can be found on the higher end but you can shop around for cheaper than their website. I love this watch and recommend it. Very clean minimal watch and good brand history. This was the first watch I bought to start my collection.
And a personal one I really like from a micro brand is The Brew Metric. It’s a pretty neat looking watch but the brand isn’t as established as the others mentioned.
Edit: Also Hamilton Field Watch…really good value.
