anyone have suggestions on a good beginner watch?
Casio, citizen, seikos, orient, Tissot. Try looking for something you like in your price range from any of these brands. They’re all respectable and make good quality pieces.

Orient Kamasu - diver style watch, automatic movement, 200m water resistance, sapphire crystal. You can get one of these for like $200 (probably even less). You just can't beat this value.
Citizen Tsuyosa. Automatic movement, sapphire crystal, integrated bracelet. I actually bought the blue dial recently for $160, which was a steal.

I want the gold red dial tsuyosa bad but some pics make the gold tone look terrible
gotta get me one eventually
Just hope it isn't too big on my wrists, but it's a beautiful watch.
got my eye on a seiko SWR049
Been eyeing one of these as an affordable Tank alternative. The smaller size version tho, cause these kind of wear big.
