pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10641525 - read through this study and it looks like its hard to find a definitive answer on this, mainly cause trans people make 0.5 percent of the population and an even smaller part of athletes. They were able to generally conclude that post transition women have advantages in certain things like strength where they dont exactly match up against cis males but they generally do better than cis woman. It's not definitive though and the author did say that for some sports it makes more sense to do it based on weight class.
