Not feeling Cody Freestyle rn

it just feels flavorless compared to this one

I get it, this is definitely a superior project. Apollo was apart of the soundtrack to my summer in ‘19 so I guess I’m biased lol.

i was pleasantly surprised by this. the intro I didn't like and his lyrics are still shallow/shaky at times, but the songwriting has definitely improved. looking at the credits, good on him getting people like Diana Gordon and Foushee to help out. and the production has always been there of course.

i don't mind a shorter project but i did find it funny that I was on Cody Freestyle and I happened to be reading the Apple Music description where he says "I want to love unconditionally." and I'm like, that ain't what this song says and we on track 7 so by the time Sunshine rolls around that gets resolved. I do think he could've used a couple more tracks to flesh out the concept more.

this is for sure getting spins throughout the summer tho, love the vibes

Too many soul ballads on this album. Apollo is better because it's more reliant on his typical energetic rock backing

Obviously he's LARPing on Give you the World but it still rips

cool project. Some great songs on here, feels like it just misses it's potential (wrapping up the last song and I want more). Really like this direction for him. Some really beautiful production. I think after some more listens I'll appreciate it more
