So many things happened that just ... didn't make sense.
Dude is like 10 ft away from 30 FBI agents, and he manages to steal a car?
They were like 5 ft away from 10 FBI agents, hiding behind a rock, and no one thought to look around?
As soon as the suspense was building for the final scene, I knew it was gonna be a cliche ending. ".....Listen"
It's time for Spielberg to hang it up, respectfully. All the elements that used to make his movies exciting and fresh don't work anymore. John Williams ain't doing it anymore either. Respectfully.
The ending kind of unforgivable
Nic Cage once starred in a cooler version of this movie titled Knowing
Not that this is bad, it's just ok
This was absolute dogwater. Legit wanted to leave a few times and was laughing out loud at some of the one liners. Dialogue was f***ing cringe. Looney tunes level tactics used by the protagonists. Truly out of touch wack ass movie.
This was an a list watch if I paid 20-25$ for this alone I genuinely might have walked out gotten a refund or credit for another movie
Goddamn maybe I’ll just wait for this on streaming
b****es always wanna infiltrate on somebody else’s moment. WE DONT CARE!
Well if it isn’t f***in Jean Jacket

I’ve never wanted to leave cause of s*** you gotta suspend disbelief for but man this was pushing it lol. An unreal amount of convenient moments.

The one that made me roll eyes is the scene at the motel, where they tied up his girlfriend and the Feds find out their location because he slept with a note that says the motel's name in his hand
looking back i dont know why they even brought her along or didnt also blindfold her
Then at the end she conveniently knew Emily Blunt character had powers and could use the object, even though she wasnt there for that part and has no way of knowing

All this movie did was remind me of one of my childhood favs Knowing. I loved that movie so much and never realized people hated it online until now.
I checked out some online discussions and reviews, and somehow Roger Ebert gave it a 4/4 and called it one of the best sci-fi movies he's seen which was surprising to me.

Turns out he even put out an article defending his review

I'm due for a rewatch soon.
I think it just happened cause she flashed to his location
It was good, I enjoyed it for what it was. But it really did feel like the more interesting movie would of started with the last 30 minutes and explore humanity's reaction to it all. The movie ended right when it got really good, and I can see why people weren't fwing that. The chase wasnt really all that compelling and made uo majority of the movie only for the climax to end aburtly
Exactly this
