The visuals and framing here really puts most major production filmmaking today to shame
while films like Judas and the black messiah or that s***ty Sorkin movie just feel like an algorithm movie visually catered for their streaming service, here’s Spielberg reminding us of what a real movie looks like.
Excellent as usual
Yeah I totally see what you mean.
Man Steven Spielberg really fell tf off
This man made Jurassic park & temple of doom. Now we getting ready player 1 and this bullshit
I’m hating cause I haven’t seen it but I really just don’t like live action musicals
I think we just gotta make peace with the fact that Spielberg won't make another classic. His glory days are over.

you right, but i still don't want to see this movie. he should spend his expertise on fresher content
Ansel is at his best when it’s music oriented projects like Baby Driver
He listens to music in his headphones = a musical

He like Drake or Kanye
I'm not expecting anything but I'm willing to be pleasantly suprised
Fam that trailer didn’t give me any info on the plot, it was almost like they chose random scenes and tried to make sense of them for a trailer
Works better if you’re familiar with the original

Uhhh, definitely wouldn’t say he’s not capable of making another one. He’s just very hit or miss now. Lincoln (probably his last classic so far ) and Bridge of Spies are excellent movies and they’re relatively recent.
this makes In the Heights look like for TV film
really shows you what the difference is between a real filmmaker and a streaming era filmmaker

Agreed

Not when he's still running circles around everyone in hollywood
Story needs to be tweaked a bit for modern times to make it work. OG is way too dramatic when you realize they’re all just high school kids
Not when he's still running circles around everyone in hollywood
Is he though? What was the last stone cold classic that Spielberg dropped?
