i think a lot of it had to do with it being nas’ big comeback when everybody thought he was finished after that trash nastradamus album

but stillmatic is genuinely pretty strong save for a couple of weak cuts. thank god he removed Braveheart party from the tracklist because that song is f***ing awful

one mic is one of nas’ all time greatest tracks for sure

Stillmatic has songs but like the album really has aged

The production from the time period as a whole aged imo and the back half of the album drops off
