imo Republican Party is going to have big internal split between “classic” republicans and Trump-adjacent republicans. People like McConnell only player nice with trump because they had to; they never liked Trumpism. Meanwhile people like Hawley or Cotton (generally) were always way more on board. I think this will be more influential/hard lined internally than the parallel split for Democrats; I say I his only because historically republican caucuses (I.e Tea Party Movement) have been more successful in splitting party direction than the Dem equivalent.
