It really is something to see the difference in how audio engineers get treated by rappers compared to how they get treated by rock/punk/metal bands.
Rappers treat them like s*** but engineers who work on albums for rock bands are oftentimes praised and sometimes outright shouted out in interviews in magazines or in videos.
Like it's audio engineers in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some engineers known favorably and by name by fans of rock, metal, and punk.
How many engineers do we know who work on rap albums that get praised or any kinda attention/recognition? Most times we only hear about them if it's a story about them getting ripped off by an artist or abused by them.
Young Gu one of the only ones I can think of off the top of my head
