TL;DR : We’ve just launched our “Slow-Tek” range of new bags (including a brand new backpack) and a thermal vest that will actually keep you super warm.

We're excited to unveil "Slow-Tek," a groundbreaking new range that signifies a fresh chapter in Story mfg.'s design philosophy. I say ‘new’ - we actually began work on Slow-Tek in 2015 and made a pretty big commotion about how it was going to be a big part of the future, splitting Story mfg. into ‘natural’ and ‘synthetic’ arms - but back then we didn't have the money, influence or time so it's just been quietly simmering in the background since then.

While we typically favour natural materials, "Slow-Tek" applies our signature Story framework to synthetics, addressing their inherent challenges and maximising their potential through thoughtful design.

The result is a collection of tech clothing and accessories crafted from recycled materials and designed for longevity and end-of-life solutions. Each piece comes with tear-down instructions, enabling repurposing or responsible recycling.

This is already quite long for an email, but there’s so much more to say. If you’ve read this far, and are interested in the thoughts behind “Slow-Tek”, check out the blog where no one can tell me I am being too long and boring.

In short, "Slow-Tek" embodies our belief that sustainability and technology can coexist harmoniously - with careful design.
