Because sexuality is socially mediated I believe it could be interpreted either way (depending on the audience or individual in question), but just between you and me, I believe it would be disrespectful to your trans partner to interpret them in terms that deny their gender identity—in this case, if you interpret a woman as a man. And personally, I am not interested in sexual relationships founded on disrespect (though this is not how everyone approaches sex).

This is a reflection and discussion best reserved for the two partners but I believe my rationale is productive towards more respectful sexual relations between cis and trans people.
