    best music biopic

  • Everyone was gassing up the movie when it came out

Bohemian Rhapsody. Loved it when I first saw it but now I see it as an ultra safe movie that shies away from everything.

DRE: I don't give a f***-- You can't put a price on peace of mind. So you can keep the artists, the money, the masters and the bullshit. I’m startin’ my own thing.

Suge stands there, huge, scary. He stares cold daggers into Dre’s eyes, but Dre refuses to look away.

Suge finally nods. Something softens in him.

SUGE: What you gonna call it?

    Dre grins.

    DRE: Aftermath.

Song doesnt exist in that universe

Eazy was a punk who cried when he saw a billboard apparently

    That was so lame

Would be in for an Eazy biopic at some point if done right.

that's why 8 Mile is the best hip-hop movie because the approach was fresh

Never thought of it but you're right

  • Probably the ONLY downside to making a biopic based on people who are still alive and have too much creative control of how they will be depicted in said movie.

Highkey a good example why biography subjects shouldn't be involved.

I thought the movie was good but in no way an accurate depiction of NWA

No mention of Eazy’s disses towards Dre at all

Dre didn’t wanna show the part where eazy called him out for acting tough, the part where he was beating on women (with nwa approval tho), and the fact that he was already a very rich man living in the hills despite to supposed slave contract, and Cube neglected to mention how he went on to burn bridges with most of his later associates for doing the same stuff he accused eazy of doing. The movie was fake af, especially after the break up lol

  • Yo this thread

Thank god I never watched this s*** it looked cringe from the moment I saw the first trailer.

Weren’t some ppl saying it deserved an Oscar when it came out?
