Even In an era of Onlyfans and p*** being so accessible, men can't resist violating consent by using AI on women who have ZERO interest in and do not consent to s***work. It’s degrading and shameful.
p*** being accsessible is part of the problem
horniness doesnt exist in a vacuum. eventually you start wanting more and more taboo s*** which is why niggas do what this dude did

Sexual objectification of women isn't really a new concept and I don't believe p*** has much to do with it.
Imagine you walk into your friends room and find a page ripped from a p***o mag with a mutual friend’s face cut out from a photo and glued over the model’s face?
You telling me you wouldn’t think that was weird?
Deriving an entirely different tone than what my reply asked of the original post
They don’t because there’s not deepfake videos of their coworkers out there. But if the temptation was there… yeah, they probably would.
incredible reach. of course, maybe we are just hanging out w different type of guys
You throw a man into an incredibly oversexed society, give him the temptation to jerk off to images that look like people he knows, and then shame him and call him a creep
Nah, that’s weird
this addressing of a very undefined “you” in this post is doing some INCREDIBLE labor to conflate an ‘oversexed society,’ ‘temptation,’ and ‘shame’ to all be the work of a single vague source.
You are veering wildly between multiple scales of conflict, conflating individuals and industries and cultural norms in the process
I really don’t think 1) the people who are uncomfortable with people paying for someone to produce artificial, non-consensual p***ography of them, are 2) the same people ‘tempting’ others (whatever that means), nor 3) the people and/or industries contributing to an ‘oversexed society’
Oh no

dude made awful decisions but it's not his fault somehow

Acknowledging the system we live in is not absolving him of fault, I’m simply saying to have empathy instead of virtue signaling, pointing your finger, and acting all holier-than-thou. The point is about whether shaming him and calling him a creep is helpful. I don’t think it is. Sure, he f***ed up interpersonally, and he has to deal with the fallout of that, but I think the degree to which certain people villainize him is strange to me.

This is either bad faith, or it’s wildly missed my point.
The whole post just confuses me, it feels like obfuscation. I’m not implying what you’re implying I am. But if you were genuinely confused by my statement, I will rewrite it to make those “you”s more clear.
A man is born into an incredibly oversexed society. He has temptation, both biological and through socialization, to jerk off to images that look like people he knows. It’s incredibly easy to do so, and, as far as this person knows, nobody will find out. From this reference, I don’t think it’s fair to shame him and call him a creep.
I understand why people are uncomfortable with people paying for someone to produce artificial p***. I think it creates a very morally complex space, where women are going to feel violated. However, my moral objections are more towards the people who make this p***. The watcher, in my view, is understandable, and makes sense to me, on the basis of human nature. I think there’s room for empathy for everyone in this situation.
Making deepfakes and selling them is gross. Being mad at that is beyond reasonable but tweets like this make zero sense . I know what she means but ???

Just because someone can do something in private and expect not to be caught has nothing at all to do with whether or not its shameful. That's interesting logic. Some guys should think about managing their biology better I guess. As a guy this is maybe something I should be able to relate to, especially since its so biologically assured. But alas... I must not spend enough time on the internet.

This conversation on social media is getting into “thought policing” territory . Twitter is somehow becoming more cursed

https://twitter.com/pokimanelol/status/1620492032623136768this guy really never should’ve admitted/apologized for this. pokimane never talking to him again either way. all he managed to do was make the situation 100x bigger than it was.
