  • Which fighter did you like more?

Which one had more content to you and replayability?

  • SF6

Just like the music and character design style better

Tekken offers a higher peak of learning curve and gameplay tho. Ofc majority of fighting games take a lot of practice to ever be cracked out at

  • Only thing SF6 got goin for it is Juri’s feet. Tekken 8 all the way.

im skewed to tekken rn because it feels like theres more variety in ranked matches. havent seen too many cheese strats yet

whereas sf6 whenever i queue up its the same deejay meaty or guile spam

    both are incredibly fun tho

  • i really enjoyed sf6's character creator, but the actual fighter outfits are lacking and locked behind a paywall 😕

in comparison, tekken 8's fighter customization ROCKS

  • I like both a lot, but for months SF6 just wasn’t clicking for me. Capcom’s decision of no balance changes for so long just made the game kind of stale for me. Ed’s out now, and there’s balance changes now so maybe it will feel like a breath of fresh air. Its customization options and World Tour aren’t amazing, but online works amazingly, even better than Tekken imo

Tekken 8 though? Kinda sweeps with customization, variety of characters and its replay feature. It feels like a full package more so than SF6, despite its problems. Tekken has been going through some pretty rapid changes already, and who even knows how long that King buff is gonna last (but I will be taking full advantage of it LMAO)

    Tekken 8 > SF6, and I’m a SF guy more so

I also feel like my opinion on SF6 would change if I had a character I really liked. The cast just boils down to drive rush at the end of the day, but maybe Akuma or Ed is the answer I’m looking for

    Tekken 8 > Street Fighter 6 > Mortal Kombat 1

  • SF6 for me but tekken is amazing

  • Might be controversial but I think 5 was more fun the 6. The drive rush is just annoying to me and I fell off from 6 pretty fast.
    I’m liking tekken 8 tho

Both have strengths and weaknesses, and one is a 2D Fighter when the other is 3D. SF6 is definitely more of a challenging then Tekken 8 though

  • Shin Chan

    Tekken 8 > Street Fighter 6 > Mortal Kombat 1

Feel like Akuma is going to really reel a lot of people back into SF6 (including me)

I play Mortal Kombat so I don't know what to play after

  • Tekken because I like learning stuff that has multiple layers

Tekken is leagues difficult than sf6

  • As a new fan of both series I like them both but I'd go with tekken because it has more cool characters

  • And I enjoy the bigger movesets even tho it's harder to learn

    I still don't know

  • Mk1

    I still don't know

Both are good tbh... But I just couldn't get myself to purchase Street Fighter VI when it was on sale including Street Fighter V and Street Fighter IV too... So yeah my favorite fighting games is Tekken 8 and Dead Or Alive 6 so far... Maybe Virtua Fighter 6 if it really happens someday and is actually good

Which fighter did you like more?

Both are fundamentally different fighting games. Just because of being 2D vs. 3D.
I liked Tekken more when it didn't have as many mechanics included. Same with Street Fighter. Both games are kind of overdoing it with that.
Street Fighter is easier to learn but just as another user said, the games play out kinda the same which makes the grind more boring.
I would give a slight edge to Tekken tbh. Especially if you dont care about single player

  • it’s really just preference

for me it’s tekken but i totally get a street fighter fan feeling the exacts same way about sf6

    impossible choice
