just did my placements with manon and i placed gold 2, i placed bronze 5 with zangief

i went 6-4 with a 6 fight win streak and the game put me up against a plat 5 kimberly and ryu who completely s*** on me, as well as a gold 5 jp, i lost to all 3 of them lol

i don't think i'm anywhere near gold, i think i kinda just got lucky with my opponents but i guess we'll see how it plays out

still maining marisa but i did a quick placement run with ryu last night and got to gold despite not knowing any of his sf6 combos

was on a 6 winstreak for placements till they started giving me diamonds

Oh I got lots of experience with fighting games. Played lots SF4, Tekken, MK.

I’m hip on terminologies/frame data, neutral pressure all that.

I think i will main Marisa for now. Pretty easy and not complex to use. Might end up switching over to juri when I decide to learn her.

all u gotta do is react to drive impact spam but marisa blows that up with gladius tbh

i suck at fighting games and i'm doing well for myself in this despite that. the only other fighting game i have experience in is tekken 7 and that's only like 9 hours. i'm playing on modern controls and i'm able to go on win streaks and outplay my opponents even though i don't really know optimal combos or a whole lot about frame data.

you got way more experience and knowledge than me and i was just able to get into gold, i'm sure you'll do fine
