Miyazaki’s three peat in my opinion is Kiki’s Delivery Service, Porco Rosso, and Princess Mononoke

All have completely different things going on and I love them all

I get Mononoke is panned a bit for being his least emotionally resonant movie, but the narrative through lines in that movie are handled more maturely than most man vs nature stories

Porco Rosso is a good play on the classic 1940s pilot adventure tales and is so underrated

Kiki is probably the best low stakes story Miyazaki ever did and has my favorite music from that era

Porco Rosso is amazing man Sheesh

It's basically Batman if he worked during the day and flew a plane
