Was just reading in Joe Louis' biography about the awful racism within the armed forces during WWII. I'd rather not sweep that under the rug, thanks.

I mean America has horribly mistreated African americans and continues to do so systematically but fascism is on another level

Also I’m talking VERY SPECIFICALLY about 1930s America vs 1930s Germany

World War II is just a testament of America’s vain glory it’s to instill love and patriotism in the hearts of its citizens

If you wanna trivialize it that's on you

And black icons like Joe Louis were used to minimize the mistreatment and recruit from the citizenry. Quite telling when you see people turning to celebrities for political guidance.

They were already one of the big guys during the Spanish American war but after 1945 they became truly OP. It’s kind of a shame because now they’ve gassed themselves up a little too much

I’m slowly coming to realize that reading about anything related to the Second World War is ultimately meaningless

Even the people being an important part of the entire period did not understand the entire thing themselves

The fact that holocaust deniers exist says otherwise

  • Jun 22, 2020

By that standard any war that involves land and facism is unimportant lmao

The reason WW2 is important is the affects after ... Wanna know why people call America imperialist? That war made us think we can stick our d***s in every other countries problems which still last today
