STYLE WARS SETUP QUESTIONS
1. NUMBER OF FITS PER ROUND - How do people feel about two new (no repeats from previous rounds or fits posted in WDYWT) per round? For the finals do people want two new fits + a selection of two fits from previous rounds or one new fit + a selection of three fits from previous rounds? Or something else
2. TIME BETWEEN ROUNDS - Style Wars won't be starting til January because it's for 2022. Assuming something like the start being the end of the first week of January, that's about six weeks from now until the start of the event. The first round also takes two+ weeks to complete. Between this amount of time, the reduction in the number of fits per round and the fact that everyone should be going in expecting to win their first round I'm thinking there isn't even a need for a break between the first and second rounds. But in general whether people decide there needs to be a break between the first and second rounds or not, there will eventually be breaks. What do people think is a good amount of time between rounds? Long wait times really dragged last year's Style Wars and must be addressed.
3. MATCH SETUP - Since I started being involved with Style Wars setup in 2017, matches have always been setup by throwing all 32 names into a randomizer and going from there. Are people okay with that continuing for this year or is something new in order (ie seeding)?
4. PODCAST - I really let @takti and the board down by not being able to be consistent with the podcast last year. I can't commit to it this year until my situation improves but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Whenever my situation improves I'll be happy to jump back in but in the meantime I really want people thinking about other ways it can potentially happen. I'd love to see a conversation between @takti @Anna and @LastCall for example. Would love to hear @So_Illegal 's thoughts, @Firmaments has expressed interest etc
If I missed anything please let me know/bring it up.

I’d be in for a podcast!
1. I’m happy with two fits per round, and two new + two old sounds good for finals too.
2. I also think if there’s only two fits per round and we have a good amount of time before it starts for people to get pics we don’t really need a break between the 1st and 2nd round. Not sure how much time is best between the other rounds though.
3. Randomizer always makes some great marches imo but someone has a suggestion for how to do the seeding I’d love to hear it.
4. Excited for the podcast already, and happy to help facilitate or organize things as well.
@Vox @chasewalked
This is what I’m thinking, but we’ll see what the people say and decide what to do moving forward
i'd like to see some sort of top 4 seeding or something just to try not to get a likely finals match in first round

na f*** that need way more than 2 fits

for first few rounds previously posted wdywt fits are fine but 4 new fits for semis and finals imo

Let’s talk about this after the second round is finished so the discussion isn’t between people that didn’t even make it that far

take care of yourself brother. If everybody’s ok with it I can take responsibility of the podcast until your situation settles in

Much love and many thanks brother, this sounds good. My bad again on letting you and everyone involved down last year. I can still help facilitate communications to schedule recording times.

I see where you're coming from but I feel like addressing things as they can disrupt things because people need time to prepare and we're trying to avoid the long wait times this go round.

I'm always up for more fits but the majority has shown a lot of support for two new fits per round.
Maybe a potential compromise to consider is having a foundation of two new fits per round but being able to bolster them with fits previously posted in WDYWT?
i'd like to see some sort of top 4 seeding or something just to try not to get a likely finals match in first round
Yeah, this is the main reason I'm bringing it up. People will complain if this happens so we either find a way to seed or people have to make their peace with the possibility of heavyweights going out early (which might not be avoidable with how stacked the roster is) if the chance to come up with seeding isn't taken/can't be decided on.
Do you have any ideas? The only things I can think of is previous winners ( @LastCall @MARGIELABABY @mishaxs) getting priority seeding, seeding based on your finish last year and seeding based on who's being pushed as favorites (which is currently heavily towards @puccesa )

Dont agree with seeding. Not something that can really be done with a subjective thing such as ‘who has the best fits’. Its not like a sport where you seed based on where someone has finished in a league table. The cream will rise to the top and the best dressed will end up in the finals. Heavyweights clashing earlier on is just somet that will happen.
Regarding the amount of fits. I think 2 is a great number as last year was tough. Going to semi final with 4 new fits every round was burn out for me.
I think 2 new fits per round is great and then the final should be 2 new fits with the finalists deciding which of their 2 best fits from the qualifying rounds should go through to the final to make a 4 fit final.
Regarding time between rounds. I think 1 week for the gap between rounds is fine especially with only 2 new fits required. And with their been 6-8 weeks till it starts in January which is ample time to start stockpiling fits.

This is pretty much nails what I think would be best (maybe closer to a week and a half between rounds after the second, but I think a week is good too) but still looking forward to what everyone has to say

Yeah week and a half would be fine. Anywhere between 1-2 weeks. Dont think want it to be any longer than that

Think a good way to do the semi finals and finals would just be 4 total fits each round. All 4 can be new, but it’s a minimum of 2 new. The other 2 can be repeats (either previous rounds, previous style wars, or WDYWT). However, a repeat fit can be used only once.

Definitely OUT on repeats from previous rounds or previous style wars and it seems like most are too
I think there's a discussion to be had about fits from WDYWT but that's not something I'm in favor for personally
