Just gotta say this was a really dope game and genuinely immersive but f***ing hell the survival mechanics were cumbersome.
Survival mechanics are the worst thing in gaming
What did you think of this game?
game was great until it told me to build my own base then i quit

Yea this is where they lost me. I just don’t have the patience to grind for materials
What put you off?
idk
i just couldn’t get into it
i didn’t know what to do and i think i just kept clicking A when a tutorial came up
That first time seeing that damn whatever that s*** is near the crashed ship scared the s*** outta me fr
it was fun for like an hour. the crafting system is needlessly obtuse and very vague, though, and that’s what put me off of it

I turned the game off when I saw that s***
Masterpiece game and the survival mechanics were half the fun for me
Do you just like survival mechanics or did you think they were particularly well done in this game?

honestly you dont need much in a base i built a small one and then once i got enough stuff i lived out of the sub
not a game spoiler more like an item^^
loved the game, food/water was annoying as hell though until i learned how to properly manage it
i still need to complete the 2nd one

I've never played any real survival games besides this one (and Below Zero) but I dug all of those systems, it kept me on my toes. Otherwise I could just zip around the ocean without caring about anything and the tension would be gone.
