I'm so sick and tired of the lies and misdirections of marketing in this country. It's f***ing bullshit that these companies can just creatively word literal s*** and poison and sell it to us as something else. CHANGE THE LAWS

E: And arguably this doesn't 100% apply here (yet), since they are being sued, but the point in general still stands

I remember a long time ago, their used to be a reddit dedicated to fast food employees anonymously sharing secrets about certain chains. And apparently, according to a Subway employee, the packaging for their "seafood salad" used to have a label on it that said "does not contain turtle" and then one day he was unloading boxes, and noticed that the packaging no longer had that label.

Breyer's Brand "ice cream" doesn't contain enough diary ingredients or kept at a cold enough temperature to be allowed to be sold and advertised s "ice cream" according to food regulations.

That's why if you ever pick up a container of the stuff, no where on the packaging does it ever refer to the product as "ice cream", instead they use the term "frozen diary dessert"

    brandeating.com/2015/07/explaining-why-some-ice-cream-is-frozen-dairy-dessert.html

The same applies to Wendy's Frostys and McDonalds "Shakes"

me, logically, tuna should be cleaner then meat or poultry because it doesn’t need proper upkeep since it’s breed in the ocean and it doesn’t matter how it was slaughtered
