CampariThe most annoying thing writers do with comedic characters is dial them up to 100 after a season, and they essentially become a caricature of their previous self.
It happened a little with Roman and Greg but Tom has been perfectly balanced.

Sure he was the audience surrogate at the start, everyone connected with him and now he’s arrogant, annoying, insecure because he’s made his way in/has some power etc
He’s no longer that surrogate character
I kinda love the change and love how much audiences have turned on him. I think it’s the natural way his character had to go
I see that for sure and I still see some surrogate within Greg’s character
especially these last two episodes. when he went at Logan it was grounded and just relatable as he was pointing out the obvious. I understand that you could argue this with other characters. But Greg resonates

They’re setting up a bad karma, sad ending for Roman imo
In episode 1 he was questioning if this is all worth it, why don’t they just move on, saying they could take less money and still do whatever we want for their whole lives
In episode 2 he’s clearly been shown as the most mature and level headed one business wise, he was the first one to console Wila, the writers made it clear the whole family beat his ass when he was younger
They’re setting up all this sympathy and empathy for him so that when he gets f***ed by the end it hurts even more
