I agree. I don’t think any other actor would be able to do the role justice

But man I’d be so interested in seeing the wild s*** that Logan was doing when he was younger. And to see all the moments that shaped the personalities of the Roy kids

i think this show’s very “boring” landscape (compared to past great shows) really ties in how well written and well acted this show was

shows like breaking bad, BCS, sopranos, wire, etc all had relatively exciting things to fall back on (cartels, gangs, mafia) whereas succession had f***in board meetings and shareholder drama as its big bad and still made things extremely tense and exciting to watch

I don’t think a spin-off is necessary at all, but man I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t want to see a prequel with Logan in his prime . Then we could also see what the Roy children went through when they were young

Like I said I don’t think spin-offs are necessary or should happen…but I would absolutely tune in to a Succession prequel

As scripted, it was meant to end with an aerial shot where we see Kendall walking, and we see Colin following him. I begged Armstrong and director Mark Mylod, “Can we go to the water? I want to keep walking.” We ended up at the bitter end of Battery Park, facing the water. I'd never seen waves like that in the East River. It felt biblical. And there was this terrible clanging on some scaffolding nearby. We didn't know what we were looking for, but something profound happened. We only had about eight minutes to shoot that piece at the end because the sun was going down. The water was calling to me. It felt right to all of us.

Listen to the John Berryman poem that Jesse has named these finales after. John Berryman himself died by suicide, jumping into the frozen river. I tried to go into the water after we cut—I got up from that bench and went as fast as I could over the barrier and onto the pilings, and the actor playing Colin raced over. I didn't know I was gonna do that, and he didn't know, but he raced over and stopped me. I don't know whether in that moment I felt that Kendall just wanted to die—I think he did—or if he wanted to be saved by essentially a proxy of his father.

When I first started watching it I almost stopped after Episode 2 because I was bored out of my mind.

I stuck with it and was absolutely hooked by the vote of no confidence episode

this is why the finale felt contrived ken shouldve ascended it was the natural conclusion but i think the writers wanted him to lose for the sake of it or something. very benioff/druckmann esque
