naw gotta keep anime separate or else it wouldn’t be fair
run with the wind top 1-5
Nigga ain’t got no wire in the list, tf going on bro???
I don’t think a spin-off is necessary at all, but man I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t want to see a prequel with Logan in his prime . Then we could also see what the Roy children went through when they were young
Like I said I don’t think spin-offs are necessary or should happen…but I would absolutely tune in to a Succession prequel
Exactly how I feel 100%
Ima sound slow but whenever they were politicking I’d be lost asf & I watched all 4 seasons
This one of em dialogue dialogue shows fsho
bro I never knew business wise what they were doing (same with industry) but it was still gas

it’s ok i’ve heard ppl who are way smarter than us also say they don’t kno wtf they are talking about half the time made me feel little better
i think this show’s very “boring” landscape (compared to past great shows) really ties in how well written and well acted this show was
shows like breaking bad, BCS, sopranos, wire, etc all had relatively exciting things to fall back on (cartels, gangs, mafia) whereas succession had f***in board meetings and shareholder drama as its big bad and still made things extremely tense and exciting to watch
And the thing is, if you’re relying on “big explosions” to keep the entertainment going, it’ll more than likely get exposed at some point.
I love the wire more than anyone, but we all know the fall off S5 had with the “fake murders” plot line they tried running with.
Great writing is when you can put 2 people in a room, talking, and the audience is entertained the whole time.
Disgusting Brothers spin off
This is what I want. I don’t need to see Logan in his young years because no one can compare to Brian cox in that role. Also been a disgusting brother since day 1. Nicolas and Matthew were asked about this in an interview tho and it seemed like a definitive no. I don’t think Jesse would wanna do it. They easily could’ve stretched this out to 5 seasons but British shows are usually short and concise like this. I can’t complain. I’m gonna miss this show though :
yes it was considering they all made amends, were bestfriends, had enough votes and then randomly shiv folded at the last second. he didnt lose because he f***ed up or self-imploded, he won and then the writers pulled the rug out from under him because they like many modern writers believe doing the opposite of what should happen is good writing but this is not so
Lmao bro what?

When you skip the first 38 episodes of a show and start at the series finale
Bro did y'all hear Tom try to sell himself during that dinner sequence with Mattson? He legit said nothing. All these niggas talk in buzzwords Fr
So basically him and Biden have proved it doesn’t take much smarts to win

Right? Cus the whole time I was thinking “ain’t no way Ken gonna win, he not suited at all.”
So basically him and Biden have proved it doesn’t take much smarts to win
That’s the thing tho, Tom didn’t win s***. Mattson controls the board and would’ve undoubtedly sacked Tom after he finds no use for him anymore.

But that’s all hearsay, he’s currently the man

Is it though? What pull does Tom have?
Is it though? What pull does Tom have?
Essentially you’re saying, Tom is the man of the position, but if he f***s up, he’s out.
Isn’t that the case with any job?

Yea but it’s not like Logan where he’s the owner of ATN. Tom is just the figurehead. He’s a yes man. We’ve seen how vile Mattson really is and I don’t see a happy ending for Tom.
Great writing and straight forward storytelling at its finest.
No need for flashbacks, multiple big time skips, voice narration, big explosions, shootouts, etc.

And you aren’t wrong about that, but in the nature of the show, Tom is who won out of the core group. Even if he only won to be “the face” (which is the case for alot of ppl in high up positions)

Tom doesn’t actually chase power like the three siblings do, though. He loves money and status, which he unequivocally has now as the CEO of WayStar GoJo, even if he’s only a figurehead
