I don’t know about y’all but the VAST majority of blacks where I live are extremely skeptical about the vaccine. Nobody in my family really wants to get vaccinated, and at my job (which is almost entirely all black) they are also staunchly against the vaccine.

Idk if it has to do with where I live, but it’s a big issue here.

You guys must be blind to the fact blacks are seriously skeptical against the vaccine.

Compared to whites , blacks are falling wayyyyyy behind whites for vaccination.

The article below is slightly dated as it came out in February, but it explains the overall trend of blacks and the other minorities in general are lagging behind in being vaccinated compared to whites. From the CDC paper in the link, it mentions 60% of people who reported being white were given the 1st dose. Where was as only 5.5% percent of people who reported being black took the first dose.

From the paper alone you can make a reasonable assumption that black people appear to be more skeptical towards vaccination of Covid. Anecdotally, nobody in my family except me has gotten the first dose and they all looked at me like I was crazy. Same thing at my job (it’s black dominated) and an overwhelming proportion are very skeptical about the shot for whatever reason.

I mean in general it’s a non white thing.
And the data from the cdc supports my claim.

I mean almost every black person I know who is anti vax cite the Johnson and Johnson and syphilis vaccine experiments that were conducted at the brutal cost of black peoples health , and in some cases , their lives. I am sure these two cases are so ubiquitous they need no citation.

Anti Vaccine blacks also cite the issue with vaccines causing autism in male children at higher rates compared to other races. This is something that has been researched and claimed to be true as well, as mentioned in this paper ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4128611

What they don’t know is that the instance with male autism and measles vaccination is that the study had shaky testing methodology, and it’s findings are actually suggested to be inaccurate as mentioned by this follow up article that critiques the paper.

Nevertheless, those three instances of reported damaging effects of vaccination are what justifies their skepticism.

Look itt rn, the sprinkle of people who sympathize with summer walker are likely deadass. But use short one word or short phrased implicit language in order to not receive fierce backlash from the majority of the ktt community that is pro Covid vaccination.

As I mentioned it mainly has to do with three huge cases of vaccination on blacks that reported very negative effects on the individuals that participated in getting a shot to help improve their health. The syphilis , Johnson and Johnson experiment, and the measle autism vaccination connection, is the main reason why blacks hold an extremely skeptical view toward the covid vaccine.
