Finally watched this. I’ve never been to NY yet the movie still felt nostalgic to me. I love when filmmakers can make a big city feel small and Rockwell was able to do that here. She mentioned Spike Lee being an influence on this movie and I can see that.
Movie pump fakes you so hard.
I was so invested, the production design and wardrobes and performances are all there, then I think it's going to be a kind of typical indie drama and get disappointed then it pulls the rug out from under you.
Rockwell ain't getting a Marvel movie cause he actually said some s*** here. Teyana Taylor is absolutely getting more work tho

The fact this got a wide release at all was a big deal imo.
I just finished the movie and I've been thinking about the ending a lot. Why did she smile like that at the end after the driver asked her where she wanted to go? What did that smile mean?
