Good movie. Aged pretty well

I’ve been meaning to rewatch this. I was hyped when I was younger to see this but ended up not being too memorable at the time

I really like this movie.

I feel like the ending could have been done on a bigger scale though.

Would have liked to see more of the military withinin the town.

Haven’t seen it in a while though, maybe I’ll watch it again.

I definitely prefer the lighter tone of Super 8, but Cloverfield is more entertaining for sure

I rewatched yesterday and definitely appreciate it more as an adult. It has heart but I definitely wish they leaned more into the sci fi and monster a bit more

Abrams is one of the worst of all time directors but I have a soft spot for this one. The nostalgia works because nostalgia for Amblin films wasn't trendy yet and it doesn't feel as forced.

All facts. I was just thinking this doesn’t come off like a soulless retread of that amblin feel like some recent franchises do
