One of the greatest displays of rapping
Wayne made me want to drink lean in high school
I used to be sipping purple koolaid in styrofoam cups with Jolly ranchers at the bottom
Wayne's feature run and mixtape run were great. Crazy he's been washed for a decade and a half already
@edumist for example this one seems to be infected by some species of brain fungus that make them yap nonsense continuously. There are many cases like this out in the wild on this site
Let’s keep it a buck tho.
Wayne didn’t have a lot of hits like that.
Atleast not critically acclaimed hits and cultural moments.
He was just a REALLY HOT artist in his prime
Kanye on the other hand was creating generational/cultural moments that transcended hip hop
As Kendrick has also displayed as well
Wayne a legend tho still
niggas be like “My homeboy down the street can’t name more than two Prince songs, how is he a GOAT?” and genuinely think they’re making some sort of groundbreaking argument
bump

honestly, reported
this should legitimately warrant a ban on a hip hop site
It's because today's generation only listens to music on streaming platforms and Wayne's best work is not on streaming platforms. These new kids will never understand the importance of mixtapes and the features run Wayne went off on in his prime or the classic leaks we got or any of the Da Drought Is Over unofficial tapes.
They will never experience The Empire tags like "oh s*** where'd you find this" or the "We'll steal your lunch money and wrinkle your school clothes" tags.
