Me being the only person on the first page that thought F4 would beat Superman at the BO (ignore where I said either could make a billion)

This probably gonna end up being right unless F4 has crazy good reception.

Would be really difficult for Fantastic Four not to beat Superman's box office at this point. It would need to have worse legs with no competition and also similarly struggle internationally

Honestly think it's gonna depend on the public reception. Wasn't looking good for Superman internationally either in the first weekend but the reception seems to have saved it from embarrassment. If it has similar glowing reviews from critics and the public then it'll probably outgross it due to lack of competition.

Might actually go see this if I dont have s*** else to do this weekend

superman passed 500m today and f4 is about to finish its opening weekend

Their opening weekends are close but I don’t see F4 having the legs Supes had. F4 lower budget should help it make profit tho

Critically F4 edges out on Rotten Tomatoes while Superman is ahead on metacritic

My personal opinion, they both had pacing issues but overall I liked F4 better

In the end it’s a win for CBMs returning to form and hopefully the right lessons are learned. Also a big win for theaters this summer after a slow start to the year

Both are critically praised

I asked the cashier serving me popcorn if he liked the new Fantastic Four and he said "ehhhh, not really. Superman better."

He could have just lied cause he knew I was about to see it. Love when people in customer service go that extra mile to be honest.
