Just finished s48. Confused about the discourse about it in here Was one of my favorite seasons of the new era until like final 7, some extremely frustrating stupid decisions by players but the best player still won even though he made it a lot more difficult than he needed to

I liked s47 while watching it but looking back, all those socially awkward mfs like Andy give it a weird vibe. No real alliances to root for, just blindsides every tribal. S48 cast was way better, Sai and Mary were gold

MASSIVE SEASON 48 SPOILERS BELOW

Those at the bottom were trying to make moves but they needed Kyle and he never did which is what I meant by frustrating moves. I think his odds of winning against Kamila/Mary/Mitch were a lot better than Joe/Eva/Shauhin

But those players also could have turned against him instead of taking him to the end (was confused by Kyle/Kamila turning on Mitch only to end up turning against each other ) so who knows. Point is he won, would've been a way worse season if Joe/Eva did

This season reminds me a lot of Season 7 of Survivor South Africa. Watch it if you can, player who has a very similar game to Joe where his contestants are making mindblowing stupid moves to benefit him at their own detriment

There's even a point where a player plays an Idol before the votes are cast, it's confirmed real by the host and someone still votes for him because they wouldn't turn against that player
