I didn't at all expect it till the council

I said this season gave me Gabon vibes and this winner just confirmed it I will say that Karla and Jesse strike me as being bitter. They were gunning for Cassidy talking about how she's a big threat, but suddenly that isn't true anymore when deciding the winner? Karla said that she would've put herself in the fire making if she was in Cassidy's position (complete cap). Cassidy won the FIC and she's completely right, it's not like she's Chris Underwood where she needs that big move to solidify her game. She took out the biggest threat by using the safest bet, Gabbler set a record in fire making ffs. Gabbler did align himself with different people throughout the game and it's not like Cass clearly got robbed, but I think she should've gotten more than one vote. I wouldn't be surprised if Jesse and Karla were sabotaging her at Ponderosa

It's pretty much impossible for whoever plays "the best game" to win in modern Survivor. They always get taken out when their threat level becomes too high. Tony might be the last time we see the best player win and even that doesn't happen if he loses fire making. Idk how to feel about this, it's like Natalie White type strategies winning every season now

Overall though, this was a good season 42 might still be slightly better imo, but I'm glad they got rid of the twists from 41/42 plus the challenges this season were amazing. I think it's time for Jeff to go though. I can't deal with him trying to force emotional moments and these out of place a***ogies at tribal council anymore
