Yep, Verzuz was a temporary solution because of the pandemic. It was the best opportunity to see artist since they were not able to do shows. Once things open back up Verzuz will be completely dead. Smart move.

Yall do know verzuz is more than just music right? They just partnered with the nfl for the pro bowl

“ All of the artists who have participated in the series are now stakeholders in the shortform video app

Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz has been acquired by Triller Network, the parent company of the TikTok competitor Triller. While the exact nature of the deal was undisclosed, it was announced that the two Verzuz founders are now “larger shareholders” in the Triller Network, and that they have allocated “a portion of their equity in the Triller Verzuz combined company to all 43 creatives who have performed on Verzuz to date.”

The list of artists who now own equity in Triller include: John Legend, DMX, Alicia Keys, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Too $hort, Patti LaBelle, Gucci Mane, Jeezy, E-40, Bounty Killer, D’Angelo, Ludacris, RZA, The Dream, Babyface, Nelly, Jagged Edge, Fred Hammond, Jadakiss, Fabolous, Brandy, Monica, Gladys Knight, Boi-1da, Hit-Boy, Ne-Yo, Johnta Austin, Scott Storch, T-Pain, Lil Jon, DJ Premier, Mannie Fresh, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, 112, Kirk Franklin, Sean Garrett and D’Angelo.“

Sold it at the right time. Because they are at a dead end.

Who else would do it and garner HUGE attention?

Actually that makes a good argument for the Triller acquisition. Triller already puts up money to host boxing matches. They can start treating these battles like boxing matches. Get us some promo, higher quality set ups. Then as live music starts to come back, we can get live battles where artists go hit for hit with a live crowd there for them

All these dudes talk the talk, promote 'needing more black businesses' and needing more high powered black reps in music, then at the first chance they sell out for a profit
